Monthly Movies: August 2020

Time flies when you’re having fun. this is Cookie FM’s Monthly Movies for August.

With working from home and the awful stormy weather we’ve had in Ireland this August, I found myself watching a lot more telly. I finally finished TV series Silicon Valley as well as Season 1 of Prodigal Son, which is excellent! I also caught up on FBI, S.W.A.T. and Younger and started Season 2 of David Chang’s Ugly Delicious on Netflix. Check out my TV Series ratings here!

But as always, I watched a lot of movies! You know I love to watch oldies, some for the first time, while also watching a handful of new releases and some badass action hits! So here are the movies from this past month, hopefully these will help entertain you at home too.

Sadly on August 28th, we lost a wonderful warrior, an extraordinary actor and human being. Chadwick Boseman passed away after battling colon cancer, which we learned he was fighting before and during all of our beloved Black Panther and Marvel movies. He was such an important Avenger, and as King T’Challa, his character brought to life cultural importance for the black community worldwide.
